Please note: Having a second base station will not help speed up the process of switching between consoles because you'd need to pair the headset to the base station each time you switched between base stations. However, a second optical cable will help. That way you can leave an optical cable connected to the back of each console so you no longer have to reach around the back of the console to plug it in.

Once you receive the new dongle you will need to update your headset and then pair the dongle to the headset. Please see this link and follow the directions to update your headset.
